Here's my second of two pieces for Hero Complex Gallery’s latest show, “Hughes Your Daddy.” What's not to love about National Lampoon's Vacation? After my piece for Ferris Bueller, the HCG guys asked me to take a crack at the old Queen Wagon Family Truckster, and what a blast it was! So many fun details inherent in this iconic car — the wood paneling, terrible metallic pea paint, and four headlights — complete with dog leash on the back. The Griswold's got up to some wild stuff in this thing on their way from Chicago to Wally World.
I'm thrilled to be featured alongside some brilliant artists. Visit their site and look through the amazing pieces paying tribute to one of the best directors of our time and the films that impacted our culture and so many of our lives.
