The Blue Album is literally what got me to start playing guitar. "Undone" and "Say It Ain't So" were two of the first songs I worked to learn, and I was hooked. I was also a proud member of the Weezer Fan Club, and always looked forward to getting the Weezine in the mail. It's officially been 30 years since then, which feels crazy. What feels even crazier is to be asked to design the poster for the opening night of Weezer's Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour! I worked in some fun easter eggs with this one — the robot's special serial number, the 12-sided die from "In The Garage" with the "94" showing prominently for the year the album came out, and the iconic lightning strap.

I was honored to be asked by Amos Lee’s team to create this poster for their show with Indigo Girls at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I’m grateful that my first poster for the iconic venue was for such phenomenal musicians who were a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible. The incredible crew at Vahalla absolutely crushed it on the print job, as always, and I can’t say enough great things about those folks. I can’t wait for you to see these in person.

This was a blast to make. They asked for something zany for the Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour, and what's more zany than a laser cat? Fighting back the giant ball of yarn from Rivers’ sweater.

Officially licensed piece for Bottleneck Gallery in collaboration with Marvel Studios. I was pumped to pay tribute to a film that started the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. I still remember seeing it in the theater for the first time with my friend Jeremy and being completely blown away. I always liked Iron Man in the comics, and was amazed at how perfectly Robert Downey, Jr. brought Tony Stark to life and how incredible Jon Favreau’s vision was for the film. When Tony Stark first put that red suit on, I forgot that I was watching a movie — it felt so real. Speaking of that, it always feels surreal making something with Marvel’s stamp of approval. I hope my inner teenager never loses the spark of realization that this current reality is one that seems utterly unbelievable. I would never have believed at 13 that I would have even the slightest involvement with companies and characters that shaped my youth. I’m so grateful for the opportunity — thank you sincerely to all involved.

Poster for Thursday's War All The Time anniversary tour in 2023.
I was honored when Eric Church's team reached out about designing a poster for one of his concerts on the Outsiders Revival Tour. With the oceanside locale, we knew we had a fun opportunity to keep my series of giant robots going with this big fellow. This tour is unique in that each night's poster features hidden numbers and a special decoder printed on the back to reveal a secret message. This was the first of a three-night performance at The Wharf Amphitheatre. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this tour alongside so many artists I admire. I believe this sold out at the show, but there are a limited number of artist prints available on my website.

I was honored to be asked last year to create the fall 2023 tour posters for St. Paul & The Broken Bones. The visuals were inspired by lyrics from various songs from their album Angels In Science Fiction. The approach was a bit different in that we used a single design for consistency across the tour, but set up the show information to be specific for each date. We went with two colorways for the different legs of the tour. Set up as a 3-color 18x24. The SP&BB team was a pleasure to work with. Let me know if you saw one of these in person at the shows!

It's always an honor and a privilege to work with Wilco, and this one felt even more special to me since it was for the final night of the tour and a concert in my hometown. They put on such a great show, played some of my absolute favorite songs, and it just was fantastic to see them play so close to home. As a nod to the floral cover artwork for their new album, I paid homage to my home state of Arkansas with boughs of apple blossoms. Thanks, as always, for the opportunity.

I was a member of the Weezer Fan Club back in '96. If you would have told me while I was reading my latest Weezine that, 27 years later, I would release two posters for them in one week, I certainly wouldn't have believed you. When I was asked to make a poster for their Cuyahoga Falls show of their Indie Road Trip Tour in the style of my Driven series, I jumped at the opportunity to draw one of my favorite old school vehicles with some fun Weezer and Ohio Easter Eggs scattered throughout.

This is the band that first got me into music. I started playing guitar by learning every song on the Blue Album. Fast forward several decades, and I had the enormous pleasure of designing the poster for Weezer's sold out show in Minneapolis — on Rivers' birthday, no less! What's even crazier is, if you stay tuned, you might see another one from me for the California Kids very soon...

I'm so thrilled to have the opportunity to create this poster for Death Cab For Cutie's sold out show at The Admiral Theater in Omaha, NE. They've been at the top of the charts for me for decades, so I was honored to work with them on this piece. Not only has the band been a great source of inspiration, but some of my early piques of interest in the world of screenprint posters were Jason Munn’s work with DCFC. Feels good to bring this one full circle. Also pumped to bring another of my giant robot animals to life.

My art collective crewmates in Billing Bloc had our first-ever group show, partnering with our friends at Hero Complex Gallery to create Burtonesque: An Art Tribute to Tim Burton. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pay homage to Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and what's the adventure without the bike and the comically long chain keeping it "safe?" You know I like to look for a minimal way to say a whole lot — and I couldn't be a self-respecting Get Up Kids fan without titling the piece, "I'm A Loner, Dottie. A Rebel." I hope you like this poster as much as I enjoyed making it.

I was recently asked to create a tour poster for Thursday, and what’s the only thing better than getting to make a tour poster for a great band? Getting to make another one. Here’s the poster for the October run of the Full Collapse 21st Anniversary Tour. It’s designed to pair well with the September poster as well as to stand alone. Certainly any fan will catch the nod to the song lyric and title here. Designed as a 2-color screenprint, but I believe they ended up being printed digitally. Either way, they turned out very nicely and will look great on your wall.

I could not possibly be more excited to share this piece. It still doesn't quite feel real to me, but I was asked by the incredibly kind people at Disney to create a print in my style for Thor: Love & Thunder that would be given to movie-goers. I saw the movie this past weekend and loved it, and to have the opportunity to play some small part in the release of this film and to celebrate these comics, characters, actors, writers, and filmmakers is a dream come true. Go see it todayand you might get one of these! A sincere thank you to all involved in making this happen.
It's always fun to add another piece to the ongoing bird series I've been doing for Wilco the past few years, and such an honor to be my third poster for them on this tour. I actually drew this one a few years ago before the pandemic, so it's fun to see him come to life. Peacocks have always blown my mind, so when the request came for one, I was ready to roll.

I still can't believe this one. This has turned out to be one of my favorite posters I've made, and for two bands that have inspired me so much throughout the years. Sunny Day Real Estate is not only legendary in the indie rock scene, but also turned out to also be incredibly kind and great to work with. The Appleseed Cast has also been one of my favorite bands for decades, and one I've had the pleasure of seeing many times in a live setting. I don't know how many times I've played riffs from these two bands, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to create graphics for this incredible show at a venue that brings back great memories. Initially designed as a 3-color screen print, but it ended up being printed as a 4-color process print due to the very limited run.

This one was a real blast for me. Not only was it another project for the incredible Wilco, but it was my first tag-team project. My buddy Blake (Jetpacks and Rollerskates) and I have been talking about how fun a collaboration could be for some time now, and it turns out that we were right, and the process couldn't have gone any smoother. After a bit of brainstorming, he came up with the amazing keyline illustration and the Wilco type, and I did the details, shading, and coloration. I think the styles worked nicely together. I'm proud of this one, and I hope you all like it as much as we do.

I was recently asked to create a tour poster for an iconic band that was in heavy rotation for me for years. Thursday paved the way for a lot of bands and was an inspiration to mine back in the day, as well. To make things even sweeter, the band is celebrating 21 years of Full Collapse, an album I believe I bought the week it came out, and is still safely nestled in my CD binder over two decades later. Inspired by some of the lyrics, I found myself drawing this strange bird with broken glass for eyes and it felt fitting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed drawing it. The prints turned out really well.

It’s always a pleasure to work with The Get Up Kids. They’ve been one of my absolute favorite bands for decades, and it’s only been amplified by them being great guys who are fantastic to work with. Creating the tour poster for their celebration of Four Minute Mile turning 25 was a treat — I had the good fortune to get to catch their show in SLC and it was a blast. These posters turned out so well, and to make it even better, they glow in the dark! Rob wanted something to make them extra special and that’s where we landed. It’s a super fun effect, and a first for me.

It's always a pleasure to get to work with Wilco and their team, and what an honor to get to create the poster for the opening night of the tour! I've had this idea in my head for a while now, and it was fun to bring it to life — even more fun to get to include my own hand in a poster. I liked the idea of being red-handed with an Ace up the sleeve. I'll leave it up to you if this hand of cards was luck or not. There's also a subtle nod to the prolific corn production in Cedar Rapids in the pattern on the back of the card.

Having been a big fan of Jordan Peele’s past projects and incredible creativity, it was an instant “yes” when Don invited me to participate in PosterPosse’s celebration of the upcoming release of Nope. Peele’s use of imagery and iconography definitely strikes a chord with me, and I can’t wait to see what he does with this film.
This Mega Man 2 tribute screenprint was created for the Gallery1988 "oNE Sheet" show, which opened the night of May 21 and is available online now. The entire Mega Man franchise is incredible, and Mega Man 2 was specifically important to me, as it was the first one I played and has remained one of my absolute favorite games ever since. This game was also inspirational to me as a young artist. I would sit for hours with my friend, Nathan, drawing the characters from the game and doing our best to come up with new enemies for him to battle. The soundtrack still blows my mind, and I love discovering new variations, like the Swedish Radio Symphony's recent performance of it. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it.

I couldn't be more thrilled to announce my first release with Bottleneck Gallery. Here's my take on the classic stormtrooper. When I was a kid, I loved these characters and the mystique behind them. Their stark, skull-like helmets and suits of armor are so iconic and menacing. While they normally appear en masse, I wanted to isolate one and get in its head. For me, it's fun to wonder what's going on inside characters with minimal expressions. So happy to see this officially licensed Star Wars piece come to life. Thanks again to BNG for the fantastic opportunity.

Kill Bill is such a mind-blowing film, and when I was first working through my “If the Shoe Fits” series for Gallery1988 with the self-imposed limitations of angles and 3-ink color palettes, Beatrix Kiddo's yellow Onitsuka Tigers were the first to make my list. I wanted these to look nice and worn, since they, along with Kiddo, were definitely put through the ringer. These printed even better than I'd hoped, and I couldn't be happier with how the details turned out. As always, the guys at Vahalla knocked it out of the park on the print job.

The Shawshank Redemption is one of my absolute favorite films, and was quickly added to the list when working through the “If the Shoe Fits” series for Gallery1988. These had to be shiny, as Andy Dufresne was told to get the Warden's shoes to a mirror shine before he swapped them and used them to escape. I mean, how often do you really look at a man’s shoes? Are you telling me you built a time machine … out of a DeLorean?!? Created for Gallery1988’s Housebear Showcase, “If the Shoe Fits.” I absolutely love Back to the Future. Of course, when you think of footwear from the trilogy, the Air Mags from the future in BTTFII come to mind immediately, but I always loved Marty's original kicks and wanted to pay tribute to the adventure they went on with him back to 1955. I was pumped to work in some metallic silver ink on this one to add a little something special to his walkman, the guitar hardware from his unforgettable performance at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, and even the metallic guitar pick he uses in Doc's lab at the beginning of the film when he blows up the speakers.

Here are my limited edition prints for the latest show from Hero Complex Gallery, “Name That Toon.” The Iron Giant is such an incredible film — I’ve seen it so many times and it still holds up. When approached about the show, the Iron Giant was the first thing that came to mind, and I was excited to create a variant version of the bust. The teal regular is called, “I Am Not A Gun” and the red variant is fittingly called, “Am I A Gun?” This is my homage to one of the greatest characters ever made.

I couldn't be happier to have collaborated with Hero Complex Gallery for my first solo show, “Driven: The Iconic Cars that Drive Us.” Jurassic Park wins the prize for the movie I saw the most times in the theater. I believe I went to see this 5 times, and my 12-year-old mind was blown every single time. Crighton's novel was fantastic, and I thought they brought it to life rather well. I watched it again recently and can't believe how well it still holds up. It was either the electric cars that took them through the park or the gas Jeeps, and when I thought of Nedry's failed getaway that started the whole disaster, that became the route to go. I had such a blast collaborating with the team at Hero Complex Gallery for my first solo show, “Driven: The Iconic Cars that Drive Us.” When they asked me to bring Homer's truck to life from one of my all-time favorite episodes of The Simpsons, I was so pumped. I can't tell you how many times I heard "Mr. Plow, that's my name. That name again is Mr. Plow" playing on repeat in my head as I drew this. Here's my second of two pieces for Hero Complex Gallery’s latest show, “Hughes Your Daddy.” What's not to love about National Lampoon's Vacation? After my piece for Ferris Bueller, the HCG guys asked me to take a crack at the old Queen Wagon Family Truckster, and what a blast it was! So many fun details inherent in this iconic car — the wood paneling, terrible metallic pea paint, and four headlights — complete with dog leash on the back. The Griswold's got up to some wild stuff in this thing on their way from Chicago to Wally World.

The Something to Write Home About livestream went so well that the guys decided to go back a bit further and play their first LP Four Minute Mile front to back. I was honored to work with them again, and thought it would be fun to keep a similar overall vibe with the artwork to create a series (here’s to hoping they play through every album). Featured in Hero Complex Gallery’s “Spectacles” show. When I discovered comics in elementary school, it was a complete game-changer for me. I was a Marvel guy, and the characters, stories, and incredible artwork inspired me for years. Without being aware of it at the time, I’m sure that a lot of my passion for illustration came pouring out of the pages of these books month after month. When these started hitting the big screen, there was a lot of room for disappointment, but I have to say that I was never left down too much. In the case of Guardians of the Galaxy, I was never anything but pleased and blown away. The writing, directing, and acting was completely on-point, and the effect just kept me immersed in the story. The film came on tv while I was in a hotel recently, and I was inspired to just sit down and draw Star-Lord, so here you go.

This Metroid screenprint was created for the Gallery1988 show "NES One Sheet." Metroid is such an iconic and genre-defining game, and I was more than excited to pay homage to Samus. I remember as a kid being amazed to learn that Samus Aran was a woman within that iconic suit, and it made so much sense to later learn that the creators were big fans of Alien and Samus was inspired by Ellen Ripley and that Ridley was a nod to director Ridley Scott. The game was created in 1986 and released by Nintendo in Japan on the Famicon system, but didn’t come to the Nintendo Entertainment System until August 1987. Since this show was specifically NES One sheet, I went with the 1987 date.

I had a blast creating some new merch items for The Get Up Kids’ special Valentine’s Day livestream of Something to Write Home About. It's not every day that you are able to pay homage to and reinterpret artwork from one of your favorite albums, so needless to say, I'm pretty fond of this one. Along with a ticket, viewers were able to pick up this limited edition screenprint poster as well as a few shirts and hoodies designed by yours truly.

The Rocketeer screenprint. This was my first of three pieces in the Gallery1988 show "30 Years Later." I remember well watching this movie as a boy and not only being amazed by the idea of flying around in a rocket pack, but also being in awe of his iconic helmet. Another thing that stuck with me was the Art Deco stylings throughout the movie. Being a fan of minimalism and iconography, I knew I'd focus on the headpiece, but I also wanted to incorporate the rocket pack through a repeating art deco-inspired pattern. Of course, I had to utilize gold metallic ink for the helmet.

Thelma & Louise screenprint. The second of three pieces for the Gallery1988 show "30 Years Later." What can you say about such a classic movie? With Bentonville Film Festival occurring annually in my hometown, I've had the pleasure of meeting Geena Davis several times through my work, so that was an added bonus to choosing this piece. I've always been curious about what this final scene would have looked like from directly below, and I was excited to capture a scene that's somehow both dynamically explosive and peaceful.
The show is now closed, but I have a limited number of Artist Proofs in my shop, in case you missed out on picking up one from the gallery.

A Study on Bob Wiley giclee print. The third of three pieces for the Gallery1988 show "30 Years Later." I'm a big fan of What About Bob? and think it’s a true classic. Bill Murray is always great, but his performance is just brilliant in this film. Watching his and Richard Dreyfus' roles shift as the story progresses is great, and I wanted to try to capture Bob somewhat midway through his transformation — still a bit trepidatious, but becoming more free. Don't hassle him, he's local.
Please go to Gallery1988.com and pick one up. I will have Artist Proofs available in the near future, so stay tuned if you miss out on picking up one from the gallery.

I’ve been a fan of JHS Pedals for a decade, and always loved seeing Josh at shows and playing his inventions through my bass rig. That being said, I was pumped to have the opportunity for an artistic collaboration with JHS from a visual side. Here’s my take on the Lucky Cat. Shirts and posters are available on their site. Limited edition posters were printed in KC by the good folks at Vahalla Studios, and a very small batch of signed Artist Prints are available in the shop.
Commissioned Stand By Me screenprint poster. A collaboration by Justin Froning and Josh Berwanger — artwork by Justin. A scene that has always stood out to us is when Gordie is on night watch while the other boys sleep by the campfire. Gordie comes face to face with a fawn as they each appear to see something familiar deep within the other. His companions begin to awaken and he narrates, “It was on the tip of my tongue to tell them about the deer, but I didn’t. That was the one thing I kept to myself.”
We all remember the train — the machine of life that moves forward on its course without emotion or remorse. It's the barrel of the gun. We can run, or we can stand it down. Either way, we see the fawn as youth, and when their trip is over, nothing will ever be the same again.

The Last Dance has inspired me in a big way. ESPN and Netflix killed it on this documentary. Brought me back to my childhood when all I thought about was the Bulls and the NBA. Several days later, one of my buddies and I were reminiscing about growing up with basketball and it inspired this art print of our favorite shoes.
I still can’t believe this project is real. Somebody pinch me!
Having grown up with a love for Star Wars, being asked to create an officially licensed piece of artwork featuring some of the most beloved characters in film history celebrating the upcoming release of Episode IX was one of the most surreal experiences of my life. Michael Crutchfield at ThinkGeek/GameStop was such a pleasure to work with on this. May the force be with you.

We’ve been excited to see Hannibal back on Netflix and have found ourselves watching the whole series again for probably the fourth time during the evenings over the past few weeks. Such incredible characters, writing, and acting. Everyone does a great job, but one of my absolute favorite actors, Mads Mikkelsen, steals every scene. Really hoping for Season 4.
It is always an honor to work with a band like Wilco, and with their history of fantastic tour posters by artists I admire, the honor only amplifies.
The concept behind this poster was the idea of a songbird casting a shadow, and that shadow coming to life to symbolize not only what he fears, but what lies inside of himself. Wilco's songs tend to have that light and darkness that always inspires so well.

My series of 1980s Transformer prints for my son’s room continues with Swoop. This is the first one to stay in his alternate mode — honestly, because I think he looks cooler this way, and I always like drawing animals. Why not a robotic extinct animal?
My series of 1980s Transformer prints for my son’s room continues with Slag, who I guess is called Slug nowadays. My first in the Dinobot crew, with more to follow. Popularity says to start with Grimlock, but I always had a soft spot for this tough triceratops.
My series of 1980s Transformer prints for my son’s room continues with Shockwave. What’s not to like about the Decepticon guardian of Cybertron? He’s big. He’s purple. His face is a single light. He vaporizes things with his arm gun.
Spent some quality time getting more acquainted with Adobe Fresco the past few nights while drawing Optimus Prime for my son. I bought him all the seasons of the original 1980s Transformers and he’s loving them as much as I did, which is awesome. Thanks, Hasbro, for the great times, and though it made for a great movie, I’m still shocked you had it in you to kill this guy off in 1986. Glad you brought him back!
I was going for a mix of minimalist meets graphic novel grit. Really happy with how this turned out!
My series of 1980s Transformer prints for my son’s room continues with Soundwave. I always loved this guy. The fact that he transforms into a cassette player is nostalgic in itself. How can you not admire his loyalty, even if it’s for the bad guys?
I’ve loved The Anniversary since I first heard Designing A Nervous Breakdown two decades ago. It was an honor and privilege to create this poster with an homage to the original artwork for their hometown show celebrating the album’s 20th birthday.

When we first started talking about doing a second poster to follow up the November tour, the initial thought was to do something else with sharks to keep the theme going. As I was illustrating the November print, I kept wondering to myself what that scene would have looked like exact opposite point of view, and thus, we ended up with a companion poster, completing the “We’re Going to Need a Bigger Boat” set. Rob had mentioned a whale shark, which was great inspiration. I love being able to see the fin breaking the water, and also seeing the person in the little boat. I wanted it to be open ended on whether the person is terrified or totally unaware or the behemoth below.

I was grateful to have the opportunity to work again with one of my favorite bands and their management crew on this. I’m very fond of Deep Sea Diver as well, so that was an added bonus to get to have this featured on the first night of their leg of the tour.
Flamingos impress me with their contortionist skills. I thought it would be fun to put a slightly darker twist on an otherwise bright bird.

It was a pleasure to work with my old pal Bobby with District cycles to create a poster for the musical portion of his highly acclaimed 100-mile bicycle race. Once called the Land Run 100, The Mid South Gravel is an amazing race that takes riders through the red clay and wilderness of Oklahoma. Utilizing The Mid South branding, my goal with this was to pay homage to the elemental exposure as well as give a subtle nod to bicycle spokes with the sun rays.

I wanted to pay homage to the fantastic little companion in one of my kiddos’ favorite Netflix shows, Hilda. Twig is a deerfox, which is perfectly appropriate for my kids named Fawn and Fox. Hard not to love this guy.
It’s always a pleasure to work with Daniel Blue and Motopony to create visuals to go along with their music. I love their creativity, so it’s an honor to get to contribute to their storytelling.
The team at Tandem Media created an animated video based on this artwork, and I think they did a great job with it. It was a treat to see it come to life.
This project was a blast. I’ve been so proud of my buddy Matt and his 1981 Inventions DRV Pedal. He’s had great taste in tone as long as I’ve known him, and seeing him develop things now that are loved by so many is really exciting. I was pumped to have the opportunity to create a print celebrating the pedal. We’re both fond of minimalism, so that was a given, and I was really excited to utilize a metallic silver as an homage to the signature casing of the his original DRV model. Really happy with how it turned out and how the silver grabs the light from different angles.

If you like great beer and you’ve not been to Hawk Moth Brewing in downtown Rogers, AR, do yourself a favor and get over there. Bradley and his crew have been killing the game and have become easily one of the top breweries in the state and beyond. We’re both fans of each other’s craft, so it was a pleasure to get to create a visual for such a great place. We celebrated the debut of this print with a pop-up Housebear Gallery and a release of two majestic and limited beers.

The Get Up Kids have been one of my absolute favorite bands for the past 20+ years, so it’s an understatement to say that I was honored to get to work with them on this limited edition poster for their 2019 November Tour.
Rob mentioned doing something with sharks, and I was immediately struck with illustrating a scene from below that’s a bit up for interpretation. Is the shark huge, or is it just closer to our point-of-view than the boat? Is it ominous, or tranquil? Is the shark on its way to the surface, or just passing by?

After 5 solid years of not being able to run due to injury, I’ve been so grateful to get back into it. I decided to take a little time to illustrate my favorite pair of shoes that helped get me going stronger, farther, and faster than ever before. Since running and illustrating are my main releases these days, it only seemed appropriate. Cheers to Nike and the Run Club app. Thanks to NWA’s own Rush Running for fitting me into the right kicks.
This was a personal project. My son’s name is Fox, and my daughter’s name is Fawn, so this was a fun way to depict my family as animals.
One of my favorite projects to date, I had the pleasure of creating some artwork for the cutting-edge music-mixing game, DropMix, by Harmonix and Hasbro. It still feels surreal seeing it on shelves, and I'm so proud to have had the privilege of participating with so many other amazing artists I admire and being a part of something so unique. Congrats to the team for their Innovative Toy of the Year Award 2018 nomination.
For this particular part of the project, I was glad to make a set of illustrations for the song "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd.
It was a pleasure to create artwork for Andrew Bird.
His musicianship is phenomenal, and always so creative. I love his storytelling ability, and it was an honor to provide the poster for the opening night of this tour.
For the imagery, I thought this fit well with the blend of the organic, warm tonality and calculated, mathematical aspect of his music.

It was a blast creating this print for my old buddies in The Rocketboys.
They are a fantastic band from Austin, TX, and have a knack for transporting their listeners to a different place both lyrically and sonically. I had the pleasure of playing with these gentlemen several times with my old band in my old touring days, and it was always mesmerizing.
Their album artwork utilized a canyon and disco ball overlay, and I liked the mixture of organic and metallic. For this, I wanted to keep a similar theme, but kept both images organic, though one devoid of water and one that requires it. Life juxtaposed, I suppose.

As always, it's a true pleasure to work with one of my favorite bands—especially for the opening night of the tour.
The lone stag in the wilderness is a concept that inspires me. He's alone, yet searching. His surroundings are treacherous, yet epic. I also like to combine geometric shapes and odd coloration with organic life—the contrasting mixture is something I enjoy. I think Wilco does that well from a musical standpoint, and never seem to mind being a bit unconventional.

Motopony's new EP is already making big waves, and it is such a pleasure to work with such a talented band on a tour poster as they travel throughout the United States and overseas.
Having heard these songs for quite some time, and getting to know the band through stories and conversations on the phone, this is what I saw in my head when they asked me to create a poster for this tour. The vision was shared and these turned out really nicely. It's always exciting when subtleties translate.

Washed Out is a fantastic band on Sub Pop records.
I was glad to work with them on this project. This limited edition print was created for their show at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK in support of their new album, Paracosm. Small Black is also an excellent band, and put on a fantastic show. I was glad to share these with them, as they have a high regard for tour posters.
I listen to Washed Out and music of that vein quite often while I'm designing. The calm and chill nature of their music lends itself to an other-worldy quality, so ghosts just felt natural...or supernatural, I suppose. Stylistically, I was aiming for a mid-century children's book quality.
This poster was a limited run of 105 prints, and some are available in the shop.
If you have not heard of Motopony, now you have and you are welcome—you would have soon anyway. This band from Seattle, WA is an odd blend of folk, electronic, rock, magic, and spirit.
When I was asked to create the imagery for their new EP Idle Beauty, I was excited to get to work. Upon hearing the songs, there was a sense of the past meeting the present in a sonic soundscape that painted a picture of standing on the beach under the moon and dancing free with lifelong friends.
This collaboration with singer Daniel Blue produced a geometric logo and cover that embodies the peace and atmosphere the band embraces so fondly.
Check out Motopony here.
